Welcome at my website!

Latest work is displayed here. It is left: mv EUMAEUS. She was part of the organisation of Alfred Hold, called the Blue Funnel Line. In the Netherlands a few of these nice shaped vessels were sailing under management of the "Stoomvaart My Oceaan" which also was part of the Blue Funnel Line. The Eumaeus stayed under the dutch flag untill she arrived in Kaohsiung for demolition in January 1978 At the right: This time I show you a suprising oil painting of an drill ship. A magnificent piece of engineering. It was an assignment I received from a Dutch construction manager.  It reflects two ships out of his new build projects career; A drillship, build in Korea named the NORBE VIII,  and an offshore supply vessel build, in China, named the Power Express.

Since my youth I have been practising the art of painting as a hobby. The themes of my paintings are based on the maritime history of the passenger and merchant marine. My desire is, via the Dutch merchant marine and also the English merchant marine and tug boat history, to keep the maritime history of the 50's and 60's alive. My aim is to reach the historical correctness of the maritime subjects of my paintings and to show them in spectacular environments by playing with the colours or to show them in a particular way. The two techniques I am using are painting in oils or watercolour.
Well, have a look and judge for yourself and you are of course wholeheartedly invited to give a reaction in my guestbook.

Thanks for your visit
